Project "Talking Heads"
Art Museum RIGA BOURSE has started its participation in the European Commission co-funded project Talking Heads.
Art Museum RIGA BOURSE is pleased to announce its participation in the European Commission co-funded project Talking Heads. The aim of this project is to promote the digital transformation of cultural heritage sites across Europe, offering new and exciting ways to experience art, history, and culture using modern technologies.
The project addresses the challenges faced by Europe's cultural and creative industries in the face of modern technologies. At the same time, it highlights the changing interests and behaviors of audiences, particularly among Millennials and Gen Z, who are constantly seeking unique and engaging experiences. By leveraging modern technologies, this project combines traditional cultural heritage with digital possibilities, creating dynamic and interactive opportunities for the public.
During the Talking Heads project, a digitally accessible mobile application is planned to be developed. This app will allow visitors to museums, galleries, and other cultural heritage sites to participate in interactive dialogues with selected artworks, such as sculptures, portrait paintings, and statues.
This platform will encourage users to ask questions and receive answers from the artworks themselves, making cultural heritage both more educational and entertaining. These AI-generated opportunities will simulate realistic and contextually relevant conversations, providing a personalized experience for visitors exploring the history and significance of the artworks.
Using the latest technologies, Talking Heads will offer a dynamic journey through history. This digital transformation not only increases the appeal of cultural heritage sites but also attracts new audiences, particularly the younger generation, who are accustomed to interacting with technology in creative and interactive ways.
As part of this Europe-wide project, Art Museum RIGA BOURSE collaborates with a wide network of cultural institutions, galleries, creative organizations, and technology centers across Europe. The project involves cooperation partners from five different European countries – Greece, Slovenia, Georgia, North Macedonia, and Ukraine. The collaboration offers both international relationship-building and new partnership opportunities, while also ensuring that museums and cultural centers have the necessary tools to thrive in the digital age, as cultural heritage and technology organizations work together.
