Tickets and Museum Visit

How can I purchase a museum entrance ticket?

Tickets are available at the museum ticket office or online using the Mobilly mobile application. Before your visit, we recommend checking the current ticket prices and available discount groups.

What types of tickets are available at the museum and what do they include?

The museum offers three types of tickets: 
Combined Ticket – permanent exhibitions and all temporary exhibitions; 
Permanent Exhibition Ticket – permanent exhibitions and temporary exhibitions on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th floors; 
Great Exhibition Hall Ticket – only Great Exhibition Hall on the -1st floor.

Does the museum offer an annual pass or ticket?

Yes, the Annual Ticket grants unlimited access to all four art museums for one year from the date of purchase. 

With the Annual Ticket, you can visit:
Latvian National Museum of Art; 
Art Museum RIGA BOURSE; 
Museum of Decorative Arts and Design; 
Romans Suta and Aleksandra Beļcova Museum. 

The Annual Ticket is available at art museum ticket offices (except the Romans Suta and Aleksandra Beļcova Museum) for personal use or as a gift.

Do guided tours and educational activities need to be booked in advance?

Yes, we kindly ask that guided tours and other educational activities be booked at least 2–3 weeks prior to your visit.

Is the museum accessible to visitors with pushchairs and reduced mobility?

Yes, the museum’s exhibitions are accessible to visitors with pushchairs and reduced mobility. The lift, platform lift, and ramp provide access to all floors.

Is parking available near the museum?

There are no parking places for visitors' private vehicles next to the Latvian National Museum of Art. Passengers can be dropped off in the driveway between the Latvian National Museum of Art and the Art Academy of Latvia. 

One free parking place for people with reduced mobility (holding a valid parking permit) is on the right side of the museum's main entrance.

Are a cloakroom and storage lockers available at the museum?

Yes, a self-service cloakroom, shelves, and small lockable lockers are available to visitors. Outerwear and backpacks must be left in the cloakroom before entering the museum.

Are pets allowed in the museum?

No, pets are not allowed in the museum. 
Service dogs are allowed.

Photography and filming in the museum building and its surroundings

Is photography allowed in the museum?

Yes, photography using a phone or camera without a flash is allowed for personal use. Feel free to share your moments using #mansmuzejs! 

Photographing the newlyweds on their wedding day is a paid service and must be booked in advance.
