Certificate of Merit of the President of Latvia

In July 2019, Māra Lāce, the director of the Latvian National Museum of Art, was awarded the Certificate of Merit by the President of Latvia, Raimonds Vējonis, for her cooperation and personal contribution to the development and preservation of Latvian art.

To express gratitude for achievements in the service of the Latvian state and society, President Raimonds Vējonis established a new form of recognition in early 2016 – the Certificate of Merit of the President of Latvia.

The Certificate of Merit of the President of Latvia is granted by the President on his initiative. It is awarded both for a significant individual accomplishment and for long-term contributions to the benefit of the Latvian state and society.
