Baltic Assembly Prize for the Arts

Art historian Ginta Gerharde-Upeniece, LNMA's Head of the Latvian Visual Arts Department, has been awarded the Baltic Assembly Prize for the Arts for the realisation of the international cycle of exhibitions Wild Souls. Symbolism in the Art of the Baltic States.

The Baltic Assembly Prize is an award by the parliaments of the three Baltic States, which has been presented since 1994 to honour achievements in literature, art and science. The award is presented for strengthening the unity of the three countries, supporting collaboration, contributing to the realisation of common projects as well as fostering regional cooperation in the broader European context.
