Jivamukti Yoga Riga x Raimonds Tiguls:
Sound Drawings

On Saturday, 20 December 2025, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, the Latvian National Museum of Art (Jaņa Rozentāla Square 1, Riga), together with Jivamukti Yoga Riga, invites you to a special event – a yoga session led by composer Raimonds Tiguls and yoga teacher Vineta Klotiņa.

Recalling the beautiful pre-holiday event held last year, this December we once again offer a unique experience in the inspiring setting of the Art Museum. Guided by certified yoga teacher Vineta Klotiņa and accompanied by composer Raimonds Tiguls, participants will be invited to experience a meditative atmosphere and deep relaxation through the sound of the hang drum, gentle movement, simple yoga postures, and mindful breathing.

At the beginning of the event, attendees will have the opportunity to become acquainted with Raimonds Tiguls’ artistic practice and the process of creating sound drawings with the hang, while Vineta Klotiņa will share insights into yoga, including the role of sound and deep listening in yogic practice.

Raimonds Tiguls is a Latvian composer, musician, and producer, known for his ability to merge diverse musical genres—from classical and ambient music to folk traditions. His body of work includes both solo compositions and collaborations with outstanding artists and orchestras, resulting in memorable concerts and recordings. Tiguls has received wide recognition in Latvia and internationally. His compositions, including the legendary “Dod, Dieviņi” and “Lec, saulīte!”, have become an integral part of Latvia’s cultural heritage.

Vineta Klotiņa is a certified yoga teacher with more than ten years of experience. She holds an international Yoga Alliance teaching certificate and has completed advanced Jivamukti Yoga teacher training, studying this method in New York and Barcelona. Vineta’s goal is to help integrate yogic values into contemporary everyday life and, by sharing her knowledge, to promote harmony and improve overall well-being. Her qualifications also include specialized training in Yin Yoga, back health, and maintaining energetic balance.

At the end of the session, thanks to the event’s friends Yogi Tea and Flora Bakery, participants will be invited to enjoy warming Christmas tea and thin, aromatic honey gingerbread cookies.
