Italian Arts and Crafts from the 6th to the 19th Century
The Art Museum RĪGAS BIRŽA invites you to an open tour in English in the exhibition "Palazzo Madama. Arts and Crafts in Italy, 6th–19th Century", guided by the educational program curator Nikola Rundāne.
As part of the tour, we will explore the exhibition "Palazzo Madama. Italian Arts and Crafts 6th-19th Centuries"" to enjoy the magic of Turin's art together, observing the fine details in craft objects and works of art.
The exhibition offers over 100 masterpieces from workshops and manufactories across Italy, covering the period from the 6th century and the late Middle Ages up to the 19th century, with particular emphasis on Renaissance art from the 15th and 16th centuries. These works provide a broad insight into the possibilities, craftsmanship, and ingenuity of artists. The selection of artwork includes Murano glass, Venetian enamels and doge covers, Renaissance bronzes and cameos, metalworks from Lombardy, Tuscan majolica, porcelain from Naples, textiles and lace, furniture from Piedmont, as well as intricate carvings in wood, coral, and ivory.

- Please arrive at the museum approximately 10–15 minutes before the event starts to allow time for ticketing and cloakroom services.
- The event will take place in the Great Hall. Meeting point is in the 1st floor lobby.

Accessibility
- The event is accessible to people with mobility impairments.
- No stairs are needed to access the Great Exhibition Hall on the 1st floor. Access is possible via a ramp.
- Portable chairs are available during the event. These can also be used as support when moving. They are in the museum’s Great Exhibition Hall on the 1st floor.
